Hmm... Teddy's words will come back to haunt him one of these days...!!!

Surely you know what Ted Turner once said... Surely every single one of you heard it before... That thing he said about Christianity - that it was the religion for LOSERS...?

Teddy Turner may already feel like he paid dearly for that - I mean, where is he now? He lost his Jane, lost his WCW, got tossed aside the moment his company became the multi-mediatic conglomerate it is now...  (AOL/Time-Warner - see any Turner left in there?)

The true morale here, is this:
when you are fortunate enough to have been a winner for a fleeting moment in time, do not burp and do not gloat with conceit. An overwheening opinion of one's rank, one's creed or oneself in general will only be met by disappointment and bitterness to the utmost degree, in the end.

For there are not merely dozens of losers - we ALL lose.

There is this classic song that claims ''Everyone's A Winner - That's A Fact!''
What it does not say is that we all win - sometimes. And then we all lose - most probably the rest of the time!
It is just that some of us get a lengthier time in the sun, that's all, thus creating an illusion of ''perennial winner' as opposed to ''lifetime loser'' - like the common guy pictured above.
For most of us, indeed, it is but one short and sweet moment, a short stay in the sunshine, basking in its warmth, before the cold hard bitter decay begins anew...

Every dog has his day in the sun though; I expected Teddy to have known that.

The guy in the pic above surely knows better than Teddy in that field...

And he is surely ahead of him on the St.-Peter's list, too...!
But that is another story...

Hmm... Is Justice really improving in this world after all...?!?

On the date that, waaaaay back in 1431, the trial of one JOAN OF ARK began, we learn that a 9/11 plotter has his prison term increased! It was doubled in fact, in a German court of all places, in Hamburg to be more specific... Justice is improving, being meted out in a harsher way to those who deserve it too, in the country where, a relatively short time ago (what's 60-65 years in human history? Peanuts...) dementia and lunacy overtook an entire nation (or a good portion of it) and possessed the collective psyche enough to have them commit such atrocities... All in the name of the imaginary "master race"...! I should apologize for the very condensed -very spontaneous too- luminous history lesson... But I will not! ;) Suffice it to say - if Joan of Ark got the stake, 576 years ago today... Surely Mounir el Motassadeq deserves to get 15 years in prison... And to be decked all along the way... I know - easy one to say... Or type, really... Sue me, willya? ;)

Hmm... Energy, Eh?

really... VERNAL EQUINOX  yielding a  ''WORM FULL MOON''  and a  VORTEX  that unleashes  copious amounts of  ''unprecedented magical energy''  onto the Earth --- I presume?  Really?    Not a worm like this worm here,  one hopes... a so-so classic of the genre...  All I know... is that I took three fine pictures  on this night:  this last picture truly shows something akin to a ''vortex'' there  -  to tell the truth...! Or a rift in the fabric of space, tearing up   to further facilitate that generous dispensing of  ''magical energies'' promised there...  To the neo-pagans it was, anyway!  Well, all that is uncanny, really:  just yesterday I was thinking of  that old book project of mine  that I have shelved indefinitely...  And it was ten...

Hmm... THOSE are the Big Hits of 2007...?

Unlike my stance in other areas (...) I will not pretend to be an "all-knowing expert" of what makes the ever ebullient music industry "pop"... (!) But I can still come up with a TOP 10 of what are, (IMLO) in my luminous opinion, the biggest hits of the year that is ending TONIGHT... 2007 was, in my eyes, Timbaland's year. His "Shock Value" release was something else and he managed to be both artist AND producer/promoter of other artists on it! Nelly Furtado had another revealing year (though revealing she might be flimsy a bit wasn't exactly a high point in her career) and she also collaborated with Timbaland, not-so coincidentally... Top spot goes to RIHANNA though - as her song expresses so "spunkily", just in its title, what I summarily feel about a certain designated driver that I know, a ninny by the name of ROSA... (!) Nods go also to the likes of Sean Kingston, who made a splash with his ode to being -gulp- suicidal? Took guts to...
