Souveraineté au 400e (04/07/08)
Souveraineté au 400e (04/07/08) - C’est la controverse autour d’une déclaration du premier ministre français François Fillion lors des cérémonies du 400e en parlant du Québec comme un pays.
Hmm...
The true scandalous thing to say, to rain on their queer Quebecker parade, would have been to say that this so-called "nation" is nothing but a historical MISTAKE...! To hear the same tired crap (allegations that it is, in fact, some sort of legitimate nation) is simply not what I'd call "controversy" - at all.
It is merely pure FOLLY.
The French know follies well too, of course - so it isn't surprising one bit that it comes from one of them, amusingly AFTER the Paris-Match GAFFE showing that they don't even know much about Québec, over there - certainly not enough to warrant France's support of it - AT ALL.
Note that it is the Sarkozy (he whom I call "sarcophagus breath" - sorry, Carla Bruni, to see you kiss that - soooooo sorry - not!) dispatched clod that made the faux-pas and so-called controversial declaration; not the distinguished Ségolène Royal, also in town for the 400th birthday bash in Québec City... Sarkozy himself is too busy gushing over the liberated Ingrid Betancourt to waste time with a lost colony that's way up there in years...! Ahh, Ségolène really should have been the elected one, just like Hillary, not Sarkozy or Barack Obama! Ingrid would have still been released - and, at least, with Ségolène Royal welcoming here, it would not have felt so odd (as in "a borderline unhealthy obsession with Ingrid" vibe) when Miss Betancourt would have been welcomed back to France...
I tell you, reality is stranger than fiction; not even the Inspecteur Clouseau and le Gendarme de St-Tropéz could have accumulated the sillyness like this... *LOL*
But that is another story...!
