.................................... No, no, no - this is not about the lame-o project  announced by Marvel at their latest nerdy con there;  NOT AT ALL...  THIS is more like IT...! ............................

That name evokes sweaty black athletes that are far too tall for their own good, as far as sheer walking goes; or, perhaps, it gets mistaken for Hershey's - by those with an out-of-control sweet tooth... in advance state of decay, far beyond any dentist's ability to help, certainly...! But we are digressing - right off the bat, again?!? Today is the birthday of one of the world's most historically significant astronomer - her name is Herschel. Caroline Herschel. She is the first woman in recorded history to have assuredly identified a comet (a dozen comets, over time, actually) for the burgeoning science of astronomy! You may have seen her name on one of those comets that, quite periodically, dashes through the starry skies above - not as spectacular as Haley's, it can even be eclipsed by some asteroids - and yet... It is enduring; you can't take that away from it! For it is still out there... (However, it was last seen in 1939 - the year of birth of... Superman...

Let's celebrate that too! As I just posted on the luminous blog to celebrate the true values, sense, meaning of Christmas - celebrating 100 days without a single chirp of any sort has got some merit as well --- don't you think? Sorry Tweetaholics and Twitters out there - but not tweeting has indeed been nothing but GOOD for little ol' moi here! I feel like myself again! And I certainly do not miss this: But hey - if that is your cup of tea (or, should I chirp... er, type... "if that is your kind of twit" here?) feel free to partake of it as much as you like...! After all, who's stopping you? Certainly won't be moi ...! I've got other twits to whip...! ;-)

*There is no off position on the genius switch* WHO WROTE THAT?!?  Well, not David Letterman; THAT is for damn sure! Not Michelle nor Al either. Michelle can be on Letterman - but I do not remember Al ever being on, either there or on Leno! Hmm... (Not THAT Al...!) Anyhow...! Mascots Are Us! And if you think those are cute - wait 'til you see these! Philosophers and Thinkers have been turned into plush toys for profitable commerce and cuteness factor alike! The only drawback here is that great thinkers are now lumped together in a collection called "little thinkers"...! :( These "little thinkers" make for odd comrades-in-arms as Mahatma Gandhi is rubbing shoulders with Che Guevara; and why did they have to put Frida right next to Jesus? These odd rumors about Magdalene weren't enough or something...?!? A Charles Darwin plush toy is a GREAT IDEA though: talk about de-evolution! ;) Introduce Darwin to your pet dogs and scaredy cats and watch the fur fly as the discussion gets heated - as usual! *lol* And I thought the mini-collectibles that had the monopoly on this sort of thing were Lord Crumwell is a funny guy too, in his own right: one has to like the way he thinks - see what I mean by checking out his MySpace webpage wher...
