Hmm... Is Any Of This Real?

THE EAGLE LANDED 40 YEARS AGO, TODAY... OR DID IT? Moon Landing Mysteries

Hmm... It's Canada Day... EH?

What is this God-forsaken (only alleged "God's Country" - trust me on that!) piece of wasteland (wasted land for sure) NOW? 142... 143 years-old? OFFICIALLY, that is! A mere one hundred and forty-something... and it thinks it is so GREAT! HA! Granted, it doesn't have nearly as bad a superiority complex as the damn USofA do...! But that is another story... Both should be annexed already - amalgamated and bombed by North Korea (if it ever gets the technology it needs to make them long range missiles North Korean Nukeheads DREAM OF...! Who says they don't already have it though... EH? Who says the many enemies of the USofA won't supply it to them ASAP... HMM? That is another story too - I know! So I'll just stop digressing already, EHMM? HMM? EH? Whatever!) *************** The thing is, I just caught a snippet of the celebration today, down in OTTAWA - man, is it a BORING PARTY too! Their idea of fun is: a sad excuse for music, with Gregory Charles at th...

Hmm... What's In A Mascot, Eh?

A whole lot, apparently...! Any entreprise (except Zellers at this point - apparently! They who dropped their Zeddy like yesterday's old sack of rotten potatoes...! But I am digressing already...) any business worth its salt usually KNOWS the value of a mascot; the instant contact it can trigger with its customer-base, initiating a friendly and immediate familiar rapport that could NEVER BE otherwise... almost! (Okay, it could be, but it would take a hell of a lot of time and, quite frankly, time is money that is not being made while it is spent doing that - are you following me here...?!? Yes - I was digressing - again! Let's just MOVE ON...!) Yes indeed, most retail chains have their mascots and they have THEM - by the balls! One false move from the mascot and the whole chain COLLAPSES! For nothing is as bad, in terms of bad publicity, than a misbehaving mascot that represents your entire entreprise, believe you me! That is why only the utmost professionals, the most r...

Hmm... It'll PASS... It's Almost OVER...

Hmm... I wonder why peeps assume to give me a "holiday" (or just a bonafide proverbial "day off") on Passover instead of Good Friday? Do I look like a follower of judaism, with my beard? Am I confused with inept followers who STILL await a Messiah to be BORN to them...?!? Can any one of those actually pass for ME - L.P.? Is my kind and their kind so intricately linked - truly? Can we really be found to be interchangeable, say, if a Messiah did show up and there was a need for a quick mob to assemble and shout "crucify him" all over again...?!? I think not! Thus... I WANT MY GOOD FRIDAY OFF! And Easter Sunday too - it goes without saying! +++

Hmm... Now, That's MY Kind Of Art!

Straight out of MY Frazy too! Stylem.com ... Whatever they call it now!

Hmm... Which Color Rules The World?

'Tis The Age-Old Question To Ponder Indeed - for those who have nothing better to do, that is! Now, let's peek at the top contenders , shall we? And try and guess for which color I voted; to which the luminous vote goes to...! Note the absence of RED! I'm so glad! So glad to see it glow by its conspicuous absence! Damn crimson crap is overrated anyways! Scarl-e-atine scum! Bloody bloodsucka, ya! *LOL*

Hmm... How Many Versions Are There Of Each Song, Anyway?!?

You tell me: 'cause I just don't know anymore! The mandatory remix dance version is not enough anymore, it would seem... Here's just one "subject-case" example... And I'm not sure which is worst too: that there are so many bastardizations of one of the greatest soundtracks of all-time OR that some ignorant fools erroneously attribute the fine work of one luminous Lisa Gerrard to (well, equally luminous) Enya! Hmm...

Hmm... I'm Not Going To Go Through ALL The So-Called Hits Of 2008 - Nope!

Nope - not this year! Let's be SELECTIVE this year; selective and retrospective! Thus - a very quick recap first and then, our pick for 2008! Fine with you? It better be! Okay now, then - if this song was THE SONG OF THE YEAR for 2007 (as far as I was concerned) This one has to be IT - for 2008, for ME... (And it is all about ME here - MY blog and I!) Close second would be this one: Hey - it was Leslie Feist's year, okay?!? 'Nuff said!

Hmm... Our Soundtrack!

Discover Danielle Dax ! The perfect song to "celebrate" sixteen years of pain, illness and suffering... Hmm... Maybe...

Hmm... Another Act That Mysteriously Made It To The 21st Century: Rita-Rita!

Everybody was marveling in itty-bitty Quebec, this Christmas season, over a certain Christmas-themed new CD release, from the artist formerly known as... Rita-Rita. Now, do not get me wrong here: I always thought the artist in question is a diamond in the rough, an overlooked and too often underrated TRUE ARTISTE - who simply had the misfortune of having tried to start off her career in a most commercial (and sort-of corny, tongue-firmly-in-cheek) way, as "Rita-Rita" - she who sang surrounded by alien misfits and other oddities... I liked the "joie de vivre" and all-around contagious goofiness that permeated the atmosphere when Rita-Rita sang... uh... okay, I forget the title of the one track that made it as a single release (and that got a video-clip shot for it as well) but I remember that it sure did ROCK! And that should be good enough for YOU too! ;) Now, we are in 2008 - soon to be 2009... "Rita-Rita" is long dead - for years now, the arti...

Hmm... It's Satan's Claws Time Again?!?

You better watch out You better look out Satan's Claws are coming to town! He knows if you've been naughty He knows when you have sinned...! He knows if you've been good or bad So that he can dish out punishment - HO! No wonder kiddies confuse Halloween and Christmas all the time! What will it be when St. Valentine's Easter Day rolls around - eh? ;)

Hmm... Luminous Elusiveness?

Hmm... indeed! I recently posted a whimsical post (again) on the main blog of this network of mine here - the ol' network within the older network (owned by Blogger - duh!) scheme, eh - and I do mean THE LUMINOUS BLOG aka TLB PRIME... The post was all about repertoriating as many LUMINOUS folks and/or entities (corporate or otherwise) as possible within the small frame of time that I disposed of to do it - and, these days, it isn't much! Days after publishing it, though, I thought to myself "I am lacking musical entities on that thing!" and nearly kicked myself in the rear end (where else) for having omitted to add my MY SPACE pals, Luminous Anonymous! (Okay - I didn't really come remotely close to kicking myself - but still!) And then, I found what I thought to be PERFECT additions to the post, reason enough to edit it, post-publishing, as is my luminous prerogative around here...! I found... Luminous Orange! WOW - my favorite color coupled with my m...

Hmm... New definitions for "finicky felines," eh?

According to the yahoos over there, THIS cat loves BROCCOLI: (Click on the above pic and you may be "lucky" enough to see the video evidence too! Courtesy of IAMS! Depends on one's definition of the term "lucky"...!) Well... I AMS-THINKING THAT... It's no big deal at all, really! Nope, it isn't! My little bastard of a kitty (aren't they all, you say...) actually goes gaga for OLIVES! Pitted, preferably sliced, sometimes stuffed with peppers (aye - the manzanilla variety!) So there...! Ah - but my video evidence is not ready yet... ok? Laters! ;)

Hmm... Haunted Houses For The New Millennium!

Lest it is for the New World Order...? Or just the new America...! Ed Stein (call him Franken) did this! Complain at ROCKY-MTN.NEWS.NEA! *lol* I kid! ;)

Hmm... Isn't There Something In The Good Book About This?

Phillies' parade planned for Friday (AP) Many baseball fans here would not speak the "P" word in the anxious days leading up to the city's World Series title, lest they jinx the team. But now that the Philadelphia Phillies have claimed their second championship, everyone is talking about a parade. Hundreds of thousands of people could crowd the sidewalks on Friday to cheer the city's first national sports title in 25 years. Like, "in the End Days, Philadelphia shall be crowned again after a long, excruciating long wait" - and then BANG! Armageddon! No? Oh well... It's gonna happen anyway! There is some sort of ominous resonance here, though - one cannot deny it! Philadelphia hasn't won much of anything at all in over a century of sports; this franchise in particular only winning a second championship in 126 years NOW seems to truly MEAN SOMETHING... To boot, the fact that the Phillies lost their first World Series to the Boston Red Sox, way back ...

Hmm... More And More What?

Découvrez Captain Hollywood Project ! Captain Hollywood Project Lyrics More And More Lyrics The full song, though, with rap interludes included in bold, is this: More and more and more, I don't know where we're going to More and more and more, there's so much we don't wanna do 'Cause without we cheat and we learn from each and every heart affair It's without we cheat and we hurt till somebody's in despair Boom, keep in tune, Hollywood will soon left to the point, Right to the point smokin' Like it's a joint, makin' Ain't got time to be fakin' It's my turn and I'm takin' Everything without shakin' Yo here with the bacon More and more and more More and more and more More and more bam, don't give a damn Pump the music and jam there's no time for the problem Not a thought to some, but just make sure you get it Show the fella's you with it Being prompt you get it, never will you forget...

Hmm... I Said... But That Is Just Plain Stupid... Sir!

Picture this: I point out logic to a certain someone (along with some helpful tips on how to recapture the fine and certifiably lost art of having a heart...!) - and that certain someone embarks on a rant about "natural selection" - adapted to the cutthroat world of BUSINESS! Hmm... John McCain now - did he just say that the U.S. is "winning" in Iraq?!? They'll certainly start referring to him as "McDoh" or Ron instead of John before too long; what a fine successor to Dubya he will be! Canadian politicians are not any better - of course. I hear Quebec's Prime Minister Jean Charest say things such as "what happened (or is happening) in the United States cannot happen in our country (read: province, of course!) and will not happen here." Rrrrrrrrrright. The truth is, whatever it is that happens in the USofA, we feel the whiplash of it all over Canada! If not a ripple effect, we follow their example, good or bad, in true imitative/...

Hmm... The "LAISSER-ALLER" Is Truly Going Too Far Over In "QUAW-BECK" Land...

Yanick Lehoux se joint au CH Max Pacioretty signe avec le Canadien Brisebois souhaite revenir avec le CH Le premier match du CH le 10 octobre Ryan O’Byrne sous contrat Montréal est prête pour le repêchage True journalism pros would have gone with "TOUT MONTRÉAL" and not with the feminine take of the city (even though, in French, a city - une ville - is a feminine word...) because doing it this way makes the uneducated immediately think it is okay to say "prête" (or "prette" really - as it spells itself out in their minds) on EVERY occasion... Such as "le diner est prette" and "les travaux sont prettes" - yikes! RDS (RIS -not as in LOL, no - READ ON...) failed miserably in its role to educate and give out a PRIME example on how to SPEAK properly, there... But there is worse where that came from... A...

Hmm... And They Said I Had Morbid Ideas For That 400th B-Day Bash? HA!

To those who *dared* infer that my preference for ALAIN SOUCHON over PAUL McCARTNEY for "artiste de choix" on this Sunday, for (supposedly) THE big "show of shows" for this 400th anniversary of the foundation of Québec City ongoing (sigh) celebration (seems to be going on and on forever already - ENOUGH, ALREADY!) well - I can only say this... HA! I wanted Souchon because he could have sung THE most perfect song for this occasion - a song that seems tailor-made indeed and to be destined to embody the SPIRIT OF QUÉBEC INDEED! That song is... LES REGRETS! The song has this line early on in it: "j'ai perdu mon allégresse / sur des bateaux de conquête" - and that alone embodies the ambiance that surrounded the very foundation of Québec City four-hundred years ago, if you ask me!!! But noooooooooooo - some (or many... make that MOST!) do not want to hear THE TRUTH! Well, well, well - look at what the French, the very city of Québec and all the other moro...
